Default Junior Positions by Base Combined NWA/DAL

Someone took the time to put this together. Gives a good idea of what you can hold/bid/displace to. Bottom number is bottom reserve, and includes total positions eqip/base. Enjoy

Nice effort, but not sure I'd put much stock in it. For example, the most junior ATL 767-300ER Captain is number 5222 on the new combined list, but here it shows 4227 as the bottom pilot. Didn't check other categories, but that one missed by alot.

I thought that as well when I first saw the list, but actually that first number is total number of pilots in that category. The second number is the bottom reserve pilot seniority number. And like I said, they missed ATL 7ER Captain by a mile.

Let's hope for minimum aircraft movement between bases resulting in very few displacements so there will have to be an opening before someone bids in.

In response to minimum aircraft movement. I talked to MSP chf. pilot he said that slc will evntly turn into a320 a330 base, 767 on the coasts with 777 in msp and atl ,747-400's dtw maybe atl. 787 not sure, if we get them at all. So get your jump seat skills ready.

Just so the ex NWA pilots understand something about the Delta contract. It really rewards being senior in category. Because of that the bottom 10 percent in a category are not really representive of the seniority numbers you want to look at. A better number would be to see what number it takes to have 25% below you in a category. Very senior copilots can make as much as Captains on the same equipment. I flew with one copilot on the 767ER. He will make almost 200k this year. He has really used the contract and knows every method to increase pay however its easy to really make a lot of extra cash if that is your goal by staying senior.
