Again Republic Sinks Nw Ship
The only Republic rank and file on the SLI committee sank the NW/DAL deal! Delta will end up with what they wanted (the routes) and NWA pilots will be pounding nails by October.

I don't think Delta will end up with your routes. You are correct on the SLI committee. One individual was the big hang up with reaching an agreement. The committee also was not well prepared and did not understand even their own proposels. The individual involved openly bragged that he has been involved in 26 negotiations about seniority and never reached a single agreement!! All went to arbitration. The whole process with dealing with NWA's committee's was described as a bit surreal. Lots of people many with no jobs, called themselves observers. Delta nicknamed them the Politico's. They reported back to whatever faction they represented at NWA. Generally split along redbook/greenbook lines. Hard to get anything done in negotiations when your opposites spend much of their time infighting and looking over each other shoulders.

What is the status of the Republic Group at NWA? How many Republic guys are left, 23 years after the merger? Are they just restricted to narrow-body flying? How was one guy able to derail what was apparently a large NWA delegation? Any answers would be appreciated.
Regarding Delta taking those Asian routes, that's not going to happen. What you can expect, however, is for DAL to start flying to more of Asia with 777LRs, as they are delivered. Those routes would be much more profitable if there were less competition. That would have been part of the appeal of the NWA deal.

The MEC, Merger Committee, and a the alternates voted UNANIMOUSLY to back down on the deal.
I think out of that group, 6 out of 8 are Blue Book guys. 1 is Red Book and 1 is Green. (I think)
Didn't you read the letter?
Or are you even NWA? (which means you're just making stuff up)

The Greenbook pilot was the hang up and I believe head of the merger committee. Without him many believe a agreement would have been reached on both sides. The infighting also took a toll on the process. Different LEC's would not even talk to each other at NWA unless it was name callling.

How do you know any of the points you just made?
The only thing you wrote that I can verify is that a Greenbook pilot was the head of the merger committee and I work at NWA and know people on the merger committee and the MEC.
I'm not saying that I got any information from them, but where did you get your info from?
Agreement would have been made if it weren't for the Greenbook chairman?
Infigting between the LEC's?
Name calling?
I'm sure people making stuff up and spreading false rumors didn't help the SLI process and if your recent post are any indication of how you operate, maybe you should take a small part of the blame as to why the deal didn't get done.
I know you didn't have anything to do with the failure of the SLI, but you read my post that say's the deal was rejected unanimously by a group that was composed of a majority of Bluebook pilots and you assert the same nonsense as "fact" in your very next post.
What gives?
