FYI, Delta hired until Jan 92. Then there was no hiring, then 3+ years of furlough. We started hiring again in fall 1996. That lasted until summer 2001, followed by 5+ years of furlough, etc. We started hiring again a few months ago.

I see what you are getting at but since there is no national seniority list that should not happen. And while there is no way to make everyone happy relative seniority seems the fairest way to go. By straight DOH junior CAL captains would be crushed- lets hope by that time there will be some lessons learned from the current DAL-NWA fiasco.
