I have no dog in the fight, other than wanting to see both groups raise the bar for the rest of us, but it seems like NW MEC isn't serving their folks well, and of course, time will tell if walking away in Feb. cost their pilots in the long run. Hope it works out for you all, and then, for the rest of us.

I thought arbitration was the NW MEC tactic.

I am confused also. As mentioned the press has twisted this around. All that is going on is it appears the merger is going through without a pilot agreement as all mergers in the past have happened. The SLI will be settled via negotiation, mediation and then arbitration. Exactly what NWA has stated they want. If I were a NWA pilot I would want that also. They have nothing really to lose in arbitration. Delta has always used a ratio by equipment or a relative position system. They won't do worse then that and could do better.

It will go to arbitration alright. Well after the DC9s are all gone.

The NWA MEC is dysfunctional. The Delta MEC will allow them to decide whether they want the steamroller painted red or green. That will keep them arguing amongst themselves for the next five years.

If the -9s are parked it would be only because of the language of the DAL scope. NWA has scope protection that wouldn't allow the DC9s to just be parked completely with out first parking regional jets.

Dude you are posting, almost and endless stream of hateful crud, on this and flightinfo, all day and night. First, you need to learn to relax and see what is going to come of this deal. I don't want it to happen either but you are starting to sound like a whining little kid. Yes, this may suck. But it also might work out. You are a newhire at NW. Guess what, you have no vote. I don't have one at Delta right now either. You will get more respect by showing some composure and not screaming on every thread and forum you can that the Delta MEC is tossing you under the bus and that you will strike. You have not even been at NW for a year and you are this bitter already?
I would like Delta to go alone also. I like where I am at, and the realitive position I have in my category. By Aug I was slated to be ~65 % in NYC on the ER. Not bad for the one year point at Delta. That will likely all change now. You don't see me on these boards spamming every thread and tossing obvious flame bait.

Do everyone a favor and if you insist on posting the quanity of spam and hate filled treads you currently are, do so at flightinfo. That place is crazy. The mods here seem to have kept this place pretty nice and it is usually a pretty good discussion.

Sorry to everyone else for my rant. I am just getting sick of this Crap.

I am FAR from bitter. I am excited about my position merger or not. Please dont pretend that you know me.

Many of us NWA guys could say the same thing in regards to Koolaid that floods this board. Its all a discussion and i encourage you to actually read my posts. You might see that i want nothing more than to get along with ALL DAL pilots even you!

If this is going to happen i look forward to the day that i get to fly with some DAL guys. Just remember ultimately we are all supposed to be on the same team. Hopefully this works out for us all in the short term, I know it will in the long term

All speculation on your part. No one knows what will happen. Please, lets stop this constant bickering and focus on being unified. Many of us may prefer for DAL and NWA to go at it alone, but the hedge fund people don't care what we think or what we want.

Please, let's stop the slandering and mud slinging about what our MEC's may or may not be doing. It's just filling the room with more rumors, more hate, and more division. Please, let's work on being unified, and seeing the forest through the trees. Many of us have a long way to go in this career, and the constant "me, me, me!" attitude is one of the main things that has contributed to practically destroying this industry. Please, let's focus on being unified, and working together.

Respectfully,
