Yup... you are right, we don't have anything like that over here.

Sure we do: 2 Mumbai's = 10 days, 4 legs, 78 hours!

or

3 Narita's = 9 days, 6 legs, 79 hours!

I think that this merger will put more people on the streets than we can imagine in time. Right now a pretty picture is being painted so that it will go through. Well, I guess that's why it's difficult to find common ground. I am trying to see the glass half full. However, i'm not foolish enough to know that mgmt is our best friend, i have my plan B and not hesitant to pursue it further.

We have quite a different outlook at both airlines (employee vs. mgmt), and I think that'll prove to be more difficult to assimilate than anything else on the table, including SLI.

I normally do two 6 day trips. Two SVO's 6 days are worth 84 hours. The 6 day Paris with a SLC layover will be a great trip also. There are normally a few 9 and 10 day trips also. There was at least one 9 day Paris trip this month for ATL. Still perhaps the best flying of all is doing STT or SJU turns out of Atlanta. Work 10 days a month and sleep in your own bed each night. It was almost enough to cause me to move to Atlanta!

And if not, please educate me, because I think this is an extremely important point of perception.
Well, my guess is he is a widebody FO for quality of life. So he can already hold norrowbody captain. And when retirements happen, widebody captain at NWA. At the NeW DeltA he may be able to hold widebody captain now. But there will be a lot of younger guys ahead of him that will still be there when he retires. So his quality of life will take a hit. Just because he has more A/C choices doesn't make it a windfall if his goal is quality of life.

I'm just curious if there are any Delta pilots that think relative seniority works a lot better for them as a group then it does for the NWA guys?

Clearly there will be pluses and minuses for each pilot group in this merger.

In any case, as a junior Delta guy, I like my chances with an arbitrator much better than what the NWA negotiators have in mind for me.

Well, you are probably sick of my opinion, but I feel that relative seniority would be fair, whereas DOH is punitive to the DAL pilots.

And that's all I've got to say about that

So you don't agree with your MEC then?
