Probably Fo on the 767er... We have new hires coming to it at JFK...

How about you guys publish what percentile is holding what position and where? Like 20%, 40%, 60%, 80%.

If you want me to do the same for NWA, let me know.

We're getting into dangerous territory here.
The two MECs do not want any ordinary line pilots to have that type of information. We might come up with a workable solution.

Seems to alot of us... THAT.. is exactly the root of most of the problems. Knowledge is power, and I dont mean "power" over the OTHER MEC....hmmm. Sorry, but sometimes I wonder whose interests are at stake here. We're all pretty educated folks (though only "ordinary line pilots"??) and I think we can handle a little of "that type of information"...

Just my 2 cents..

FDXer,

You are right. A '98 higher at DAL is what I was comparing. In Makos position, 80% would still get him a seat in just about all the equipment as an FO. Probably not the 777 or captain. But very close in JFK.

Check,

We agree again. That's 2 for 2 for the day.

Mako-
I'm dead serious. The MECs do not want anything resembling "negotiating" to take place outside their strict control. They would crush any attempt.

If you ask me we could set up a website for DAL and NWA pilots only. We upload both lists and all the relevant age and hire date and base and airplane and retirement info and any other information required. We let the line pilots propose solutions and argue and debate and persuade and this thing could be solved in a week. We'd have a list.

At Delta, our int'l flying has gone very junior ever since we started hiring last year, and I suspect when our joint contract is done, int'l overide will be an issue. So before anybody posting what a/c assignment will get you at an percentage, please bear in mind that it could all change. Unlike NWA, where it is much more clear cut between junior guys flying domestic, and senior guys flying int'l, it isn't the case at DAL. (Before the merger mania, there was rumor that 777 FO may go as junior as 1-2 year on the property) FWIW. Whereas a 744 FO at NWA is more senior than a 320 CA. We have very different a/c deployment strategy, it just makes sense that the new company will benefit almost everybody, with reasonable expectation.

But I do agree that's a lot of misinformation out there, and it's important that we get together and decide our future working side by side.

Well.........I have a NWA and a DAL seniority list, what can stop us from putting the lists together by relative seniority and posting the results minus names and any other revealing info about individuals?

We could do it by DOH as well and compare the ramifications of the two methods.

You will be thrown out of the union in disgrace. Never to be allowed to fly for an ALPA carrier again. You will then be hired by a Non-ALPA carrier (UPS/American/Southwest) and make 1 million dollars more over the course of your career.
