NWA merger leader resigns

Our merger leader resigned for "personal reasons" and now Dave Stevens seems to have taken over the SLI negotiations with a special meeting this Saturday. Is this a red book conspiracy or just an over reaction by some?

Deleted, edited, whatever.

Yes. The DAL guys do seem to hate Laz. I wonder why that is? Any of you guys care to explain?

Nope.
Our Merger chair resigned as well. We have a new team at the table today.

our mec put out a letter to ease the concerns of the pilot group about Laz leaving and it was a resignation for "personal reasons" and nothing more they said.

People involved in the process felt he showed up unprepared without doing his homework. This of course slows things down. He was also described as not easy to work with both as far as Delta and his own people were concerned. His track record in negotiations is 0 for 26. He was proud of his record of never reaching a agreement and going to arbitration every time.

Just to even things out however the Delta merger chair also resigned for personal reasons a few weeks ago.
