20 October SLI transcript

Pretty boring stuff overall. I will say however I think the NW 747 Captain got killed on cross, his most common responses were, "I don't know, I couldn't say, and I am not an expert in that area." When discussing a chart showing numerous 747-200 cargo routes that are no longer flown he wouldn't even agree to the statement that the pacific cargo operation has decreased when it was right in front of him.

Better than that was the fact that they called NWA out for voting for a ratio type list on the last 2 mergers because DOH was not fair,

Then, found out that NWA has pilots on the seniority list that are not even at NWA, they are at Mesa and have never been to training yet at NWA.

Also, Delta has about twice as many INTL block hours than NWA(that was a surprise)

There will also be discussion of the early out program by Delta. They will prove that had the 65 rule been in place, there would not have been that many early outs.

I assure you we don't have anyone on the list who works for mesa and hasn't started, or better yet, finished class. The last person on the Nwa list is currently flying and has been done with training for months.

Not calling you out, but if you read the transcripts from yesterday, this is exactly what was presented.

I haven't seen the transcript yet so, I'm a bit confused.

When did NWA vote on a ratio type list on the last two mergers?

How does NWA have pilots on the seniority list that haven't been trained?

What does your last statement mean? Early out program by Delta? Had the 65 rule been in place? Not that many early outs?

Well, since you asked. In the NWA-REP merger, NWA argued for ratio and REP argued for DOH. That's one of them.

First, you should watch where you use the term "exactly."

There is no place in the entire 234 page document where the word "Mesa" appears.

What you are refering to is page 112 of the document and page 869 of the transcrips. Apparently, you guys think there are a few pilots on the list who aren't flying and have never been trained.

What I would guess is that there are a few people on the list who are part of the Mesaba (Not Mesa) flow thru agreement.

I am sure you guys will assert that they do not belong on the list and we will assert that they do. Not exactly groundbreaking.

As I said a long time ago........our guy will make you look like gold digging morons, and your guy will make us look like gold digging morons. It's what we pay them to do and lord knows they appear to be good at it.

But, your guy is all over Newman.........I'm only up to 876 so I'll keep reading. Gawd is it dull!

I've heard the guy talking about Narita is better reading.

Back to the grind

For you maybe. Not for NWA history buffs. And tomorrow will be SPECTACULAR !

There's going to be another little nostalgia movie. Just like Day 1.
This time talking about "super premium". VERY emotional stuff.
An elderly 747 captain is interviewed in Japan and gets all misty-eyed as a classic whale flies past Mt. Fuji at sunset.
As the shot fades to black he slowly bows his head. A tiny tear rolls down his cheek and he softly, almost imperceptibly, whispers, "Date of hire".

Ever see "Old Yeller"? This is better.
There won't be a dry-eyed arbitrator in the house.
