NWA Won
Despite the arbitrator's description, this isn't really a status and category list.
DC9 drivers can now fly 767s. In much better bases.
The list is far closer to "relative seniority" than true status and category.
Its a huge win for NWA.

And Delta gets all the benefits of our massive near term retirements. 55% of our pilots retire, assuming age 65, in 12-13 years. Both sides got some and lost others.

Gee, in ONLY 12 to 13 years? Some of us may not be around long enough to recover the seat we are now in after eating the retirements of the NWA cargo whales to take advantage of those retirements. The only thing that will be retiring in massive quantities will be freighters.

Some of us are young enough to enjoy ALL of the retirements. I have 33-38 years left of this so 10-13 wasnt an issue for me and only solidified my career expectations under the NWA standalone plan. But that is gone and we all have to live with the outcome of the merger. The positive aspect is by the time the nwa retirements taper off the dal sides kick in therefore the WHOLE list will enjoy 25+ years of solid attrition just based on retirements.
The NWA whales are under contract by the military for guaranteed profits for the next couple years on top of the regular ops and charter ops.
Bottom line is the list is done, what happens from here on out is out of our hands.
Cheers

Not to mention they're holding down slots at NRT that would otherwise would have never been had.
It all evens out.
