I would really like to see them use a combination of the 2 logos as that rendering suggests.

I agree. I think when people see this "new" paint scheme, they will automatically think it's Continental, when, in fact it's United.

Although, for all we know this could be a temporary fix until a new scheme is released.
It will also be interesting to see this scheme on United's airbus'. (Unless they're too cheap to repaint those)

the "UNITED" font should be much larger and in the current United font. But no one asked me before the merger....

With all the recent news, Aer Lingus seems like a distant nightmare. My sincere apologies for all the dirty laundry (scope) we are bringing to the marriage. Hopefully, working together, we can wipe this slate clean.

Amen brother. We have our share of 'personnel' issues - but I hear that UAL Flt ops treats you guys leaps and bounds better than our people do. Let's hope this best of breed concept they're selling works. If we get sold out over scope - I'm axed.
This combo might finally get the scabtains to run for the hills and get some movement going again. Rumor around here is a bid right around the corner to start recalling CAL and UAL folks...

It's a self portrait. Usually I have a smoke and a flask in my other hand. I'm easy to spot.
