Default USAir, America West ever figure it out?

My brother is interviewing next month at USAIR and I'm a bit out of the loop as to whether America West and USAir ever solved their seniority list issues. Last I heard a few years ago was that they had not and were still separate. Anyone know for sure?

Thanks!

Bring a 10-foot pole and don't touch anything with it.

Nice!

Seriously though I wouldn't even bring it up.
Legally though I don't believe interviewers are allowed to ask any union related questions, but if you bring it up in the interview that's a different story.
