I'm starting to hear more talk of this merger actually happening and it's coming more credible sources.

Very low chance of this ever happening. AS has a significant "poison pill" to swallow. Nobody can afford them!

I'm pretty sure Southwest and Alaska would make more sense since they both operate B737 and Alaska does Hawaii, Alaska and Mexico.

Merger. Straight date of hire. No bump, no flush.

doh is an alaska pilot fantasy. based on all recent merger scenarios it just aint gonna happen. career expectations, longevity, and fairness equities ensures it wont be doh.

Talk about necroposting.

i apologize. it was one of the threads at the very top in this merger/acquisition forum. i guess there aren't a lot of users in this subforum.

Lol, well I started this thread over a year ago pre-Alaska/Virgin. Though I still think Alaska/JB would make a great merger in the long run after an integration.

GangtaMoose 04-22-2016 07:48 PM

that would depend if jetblue makes a play on hawaiian. if hawaiian and the blue merge it would be a tough sell to then merge with the new alaska. if hawaiian and blue dont merge then absolutely makes sense to pursue jetblue. but it would seem the die has been cast and with alaska/virgin merging the next mergers will be forthcoming to include spirit/frontier and jetblue/hawaiian.
