Why do they bother with SAP?

We haven't been able to drop or trade anything for ages now. All it does is irritate me when they show that SAP is open since it does nothing for us. They should just keep it closed until we get adequate reserves (although adequate reserves will never happen, as we all know)!

"Schedule Adjustment Period (SAP)" means a period from the 20th-22nd of the month where line holding pilots may utilize the schedule enhancement software to manipulate trips within their line award.
