Questions re: MESA training program...
1. Heard they have recently instituted a “pre-indoc” program which lasts about 14 hours, because the new hires have no concept of jet engines, high altitude physiology, and “professionalism”. And the new hires are not paid for this time, but are required to attend. ???
2. Heard they actually do not pay during the travel day and the first 5-6 days of training. Even though the MESA web site says otherwise, and MESA makes new hires “accept” the offer (thus forming the contract), when they arrive the new hires are told their “hire date” is actually about a week off. The reason being told is delays in HR, drug testing, etc. ???
Any truth to this ???

You are hearing a bunch of false information. You are paid the moment you pass your drug test (as mentioned above) and start Indoc. ATP/CTP follows Indoc if you need to pass your ATP written.
So, you are not paid for your initial travel day, the day you take the drug test, and usually the next day - usually 3 days not being paid. Your sources are a bunch of trolls or recruiters that work for other regionals.

Are you talking about the ATP/CTP class? That occurs after the drug test, your Indoc class, and you are paid during it.

United certainly could, within the CBA agreement, take Ejets back or cancel flying. However, the extra planes we got last year were ones that Republic couldn’t handle. And, we bought the Ejets so United would have to take the older ones back that they own.

How long is the ATP/CTP course? Is it also in Phoenix? I live in phoenix and have a family. What are the chances that I would land PHX base right out of ground or IOE. If I didn't get PHX right away how long would it take? Thank you...[/
