It is not profesional to announce a base and "un-announce" it before it even opens. But I can't understand why someone would go to a United Express/American Eagle carrier to be based at a Delta hub.

If you haven’t noticed, despite all the CRJ guys saying a jet is a jet, pilots want to fly the Ejet. They will postpone becoming CA by up to 2 years at places like SkyWest just to fly an Ejet. At SkyWest, you can upgrade on the CRJ immediately after your 1,000 hours 121 time is in. On the Ejet, it takes 3 years. And, SkyWest makes outstation bases work - not just Republic.

Pilots were signing up for Mesa on the Ejet in ATL because Mesa was the only regional that promised to make an Ejet in ATL happen.

Mesa’s string of broken promises to new recruits is more than unprofessional. It is false advertising, plain and simple.

Well, the email did say that the suitability of the ATL base will continue to be assessed, along with other potential bases.

How long have you been here? You are pretty gullible. The guys I fly with say the SDF base will be closed.

Can anyone paste, or pm me the email? ATL is the primary reason for me to consider Mesa and if that's not going to happen, well...
