Pathway to United
Mesa Air has been outspoken about issues with pilot pipelines and the high barrier to entry. Thanks to the new agreements, the carrier hopes to be seen as a pathway to United, attracting talent to its operations in their early years. Given United's massive expansion in the next decade, Orstein is excited about the opportunities, saying,"United has acted very decisively in this particular circumstance to ensure there’s a pilot flow that goes from Mesa into United. I mean, United now has literally the greatest growth plan in the history of commercial aviation. There is a big demand for pilots and I think United views Mesa as their farm team."

-GoJet is about to go under
-Air Wisconsin is about to fold
-CommutAir is imploding
-Mesa is dying and about to file bankruptcy
I've been hearing these same things repeated on aviation forums since 2008 or so.
