How many Mesa pilots know they were actually working for American? ...
I personally think you need your head examined to want to work for AA.
When I flew at Mesa under U.S. Airways, we were treated well with jumpseat priority, buddy passes, 20$ upgrades to first class. As soon as AA took over, we lost all of that. Not only that, but AA retirees have priority on non rev, and even flight instructors in their pipeline have priority over you, the pilot flying under their umbrella. It was a huge slap in the face.
Besides that, look at the TWA pilots and the hell they were subjected to. I will never buy a ticket on AA, and I will never work for them.

You do realize US Airways took over the whole show right? 😂 They just kept the AA name....

In Republic's case, AA/UA/DL are essentially creditors. They have no operational control. That was subject to anti-trust laws hashed-out in the BK between the DOJ and FTC.

Yes that's what JO told us, "Don't worry, it's US Airways management running the show"..
The reality is that it is the larger pilot groups demands that dictate what management does. Let that be a warning to you when ever you hear talk about mergers.

In the never-ending saga of the ASA/XJT merger, the XJT pilot group has always been much larger....and management has always catered to the ASA way of doing things.
(Not relevant to this discussion.....just disagreeing with your assertion)

Also look at how many off the street non military hires they have this year it’s around 50 I believe. You have a higher chance of getting Delta than AA who’s colors we fly everyday. It’s laughable how a United pilot can get the jumpseat over one of us commuting to work a 4 day for them.

But I will say mainline AA pilots have always treated me well when I do get the seat, they make the walk up top more than other pilot groups and several captains have given me their meals.

The AA pilots were always great when jumping with them, the DFW gate agents... Not so much...

That’s what happens when you don’t work for AA...

Default Dont di Mesa

I just resigned from Mesa after a month and a half. They dont care about you there. They just hired a paraplegic and my sim partner couldn't read words like Ambient. Mesa is a circus. Unless you like being a clown, I would shoot for Republic

Default Republic is the place to be

Republic is now flying old Mesa routes with Republic aircraft and Republic pilots, but with Mesa Flight Attendants. If you're a FA, you're good. If not, I would reconsider Mesa. I would be more than happy to send you copies of emails where Mesa not only screwed me on training but stuck me with $250 hotel bills
