NavBlu is Airbus, Jepp is Boeing... The charts don't look bad, but I bet it has more to do with Airbus offering a deal they couldn't say no to, to get more market share in the USA. And yes, every change at Mesa is to save money. You know that is the case going in.

You guys have to have your own bulky mounts? Maintenance must really love replacing those E-jet window shades that get torn up so easily by the iPad mounts.

During my brief stint with NB, I actually grew accustomed to the terminal charts. Didn’t mind them, and found a feature here and there that was preferable to other versions.

The enroute charts, on the other hand suuuuuuuuckkked. There is just something unnatural and SA draining about not being able to plot and see your route of flight.

Not that it matters a whole lot since we are at Mesa, but are they geo referenced? (in the off chance we eventually get power in the flight deck for our iPads)

No geo-ref in the set up I used (ZW). No power/GPS feed on WiFi only (no GPS) iPad minis.

You have no clue what that means. You are fear mongering. I’m also a software developer. You are just trusting the package. And you are supposedly an airline pilot. Everything you do is recorded. You have no privacy.

Quit defending this BS move of moving from Jepp. I don’t trust anything tied to a Mesa server.

Yeah, WiFi iPad minis don’t have a GPS chip. It wouldn’t matter if the charts were geo-referenced.

I just watch others with power in the flight deck using their geo referenced Jepp charts with an increased situational awareness.

I seriously hope you aren’t serious here. That level of paranoia has no place in the cockpit.

I doubt he actually flies. If he can't trust Mesa IT, how can he trust Mesa maintenance?
