In reviewing the stock analysts positions, it appears they are counting on Mesa’s United contracts to be extended in one form or the other. All major firms list Mesa as a “buy”.
I know they call them street hires but cmon it’s the same company that’s not a street hire. My problem is that in this supposed pilot shortage we are flying tons of AA metal and almost no one is getting hired. To AAs credit they’ve always said go to Envoy PSA and Piedmont to get to AA

That was my point. If AA prefers military background (as do many majors), the fact they have a known path for corporate pilots to go via their regionals should not be dismissed. The number of Mesa pilots who have taken advantage of their “street captain” program is not insignificant and have gone to a AA wholly owned regional. Some pilots just around 1,000 121 and other pilots years after they have given up hope on a major hiring them.

I can't believe no one has mentioned the 10.5% stake American took in MESA yet...

This is very old news. American had a 20% stake before the IPO but allowed their stake to dilute to 10.5%.
