Default CRJ550’s

I don’t know if anyone noticed United is reconfiguring the CRJ700’s as a 50 seat CRJ550.

Maybe Mesa is working to get these planes instead of Go Jet. That’s why JO said he wants to buy more 700s.

And maybe no one has to lose flying when expressjet starts flying the ejet.

If we had our old contract we might be screwed right now JO would have been able to tremendously cut cost giving all 700 captains a pay cut flying 50 seat 700s.

The article says they will eventually replace the 50 seat fleet. That’s ba. They aren’t swapping out crj550 for 250 plus e145s and 200s also

It’s not set in stone who gets them either.

JO has friends. He said it like 5 times on the conf call.

Nothing. UAL has room to add 50 seat flying.

Lol. This is just United’s management recognizing that their pilot union is not going to give on scope. So, their solution to expanded regional flying is 70 seat Ejets and 50 seat 700’s. I expect our 700’s to be reconfigured in this manner while we expand our Ejet fleet.

No one is losing flying. United wants to expand regional flying.

Could you imagine a 700 with all first class seating? Or at least tons of leg room? Would make for one of the nicest rides around.
