We are not fat on anything other then IAH FO, and that's only because they won't upgrade.

The people who fail upgrade are those who either didn’t study or have trouble with ADM, people need to read the GOM, review their aircraft systems, and practice CRM and ADM, if they do that it’s not hard. I’m not saying it’s easy, because it is A LOT of stuff in a short time. But if you come prepared and ready to upgrade straight away, it isn’t hard.

That’s always the rumor.
Just go to upgrade and plan to not learn anything.
If you learn some that’s great! If you learn a lot I think you will have a hard time for your rides.

People fail upgrade because they think they will have time to study when they get to Phoenix, like they did in new hire. For those of you that don’t know, you absolutely will NOT have time to study up there. You must show up actually prepared to upgrade.

Isn't that true everywhere? People need to be ready to be a captain before they bid it. That stuff isn’t spoon fed in a classroom. Know that you’re ready, know your airplane and FOM, then put in a bid and do the work. Do that, and upgrading isn’t that hard.

It absolutely is true everywhere. I was simply answering the question of why people are failing upgrade. And from time to time it can be a lot of people. People are not showing up prepared.
