Newbie Questions

Lets see if we can answer your questions.
You need to be the top 25% of the seniority list to hold all weekends. You can get SOME but not all until you are up there - that's going to take about 5-10 years as Captain and about 2 years as FO on the CRJ.
Second question: 11 days off min - you'll see 12-13 days off average. We do 4, 4 day trips a month typically. That's 16 days min - you can get the rest off.
Third question: We didn't meet the performance criteria. American could have removed 6 aircraft. They removed 2. I hope beyond hope that we use those two aircraft as spares and don't sell them or lease them to another carrier. We NEED the spares. The question is, will the block hours go down proportionally? If not - losing the aircraft means nothing. If the block hours DO go down proportionally then we will be better staffed (still short but better) and we SHOULD - if we are smart (we aren't) have two additional spares to swap in. With crews. That would be awesome for everyone's schedule. Not so great for the wallet because 300% will go away as well.

Hi guys. Couple questions from a guy with a class date. These aren’t the things you can look up easily elsewhere:
1. How soon until you can hold weekends off on the CRJ side? Particularly in DFW/PHX.
2. What’s the average schedule like? Or at least how many days off are FO lineholders seeing?
3. What’s the deal with the American contract? I know they pulled 2 planes but my understanding is that it could’ve been worse. Are folks assuming American flying is done after 2021?
Thanks!
