Reserve Time, Days Off, Etc...

Hi all,

I am thinking about coming to Mesa in May. Would anyone be able to fill me in on reserve time, picking up flying on day’s off, moving off day’s on your schedule?

Moving off days is pretty hard at Mesa you are pretty much locked in to your schedule.

Spirit has the same number of airplanes as Mesa but 1000 more pilots. We are far far away from being properly staffed.

Spirit also has planes moving 24/7 with a significant number of red eyes, but regardless your point is valid, albeit not as much as you make it out to be.

Doesn’t Spirit contractually have to keep a certain amount of days on the reserve grid green as well. Obviously we don’t have that and if we did Mesa wouldn’t follow it.
