IAH Base

Hey all, I just wanted to gain some insight into how easy it'd be for a new hire to get the IAH base after IOE. I also have a cjo from Expressjet and wanted a bit of advice on who to consider between them and Mesa. My main priority is getting IAH with reasonably low reserve time to make my commute from AUS, TX easier. Pay is a second-tier level of importance and I don't really mind too much on what airframe I fly. Any feedback is appreciated, Thanks

Mesa is the only regional that will offer IAH right out of class for now.

SkyWest has NH’s that got IAH before ioe was done...

(i would still suggest Mesa right now over OO for IAH. That could change with the XJT’s 175’s going to OO though...)

*only 175 regional that will offer IAH out of training.

XJT is awarding IAH out of training on the 145.

I recommend caution here. IAD is woefully understaffed. It is to become an Ejet base. I expect it will be the new, newhire award base.
