Town hall Questions For JO
If you have checked your inbox recently, you might notice a town hall is coming up. It appears only one question per employee is allowed to be asked in advance.

I’ll go first...
1.Has the Mesa leadership developed an internal strategy for a pending displacement bid?
2. Is there a strategy in place to develop more business with the reduction of AA flying. Rumors of flying for Alaskan Airlines have been passed around.
3. If continued reduction in flying, will there be scheduled base closures such as SDF and PHX expected? Will the base closures come before or after October 1st?

If by chance did anyone take down some notes from the town hall? If so can you please give me a summary? I wasn’t able to get the time to watch it. Thanks in advance if you find the time to write some things out on here

1) 700s more than likely staying, possible ORD and Newark base for those. 20 Ejets still coming
2) Possible European flying for the 900s
3) Furloughed United pilots do not have hiring priority over regular new hires, Company will work with ALPA on this if it comes to it but they are not entitled to our planes
4) Cargo is a go for September, initial cadre are in training right now. Very good possibility of additional fleet types
5) Furloughs are possible but flying in July is almost double what it is now or 50% of last year (his quote, not mine)

never said ejets not coming, said still planned to come. Hinting at may be growth. Says American still says we are part of the portfolio of carriers, although nothing about size. Basically said we keep the other carriers in check price wise. Looking at expanding Cargo operation including new fleet types and new partners around the cargo industry.
edit, never mind on the first point. Typo on your end I see.

Fixed it.
Add that the 700s more than likely (?) if they stay will still be converted to 550s
