If they’re reserve captains I’m wondering if they were FOs within the last 12 months? Currency thing maybe?

Almost half the captains in PHX are on reserve. We are over staffed.

What’s up with this so called project at IAH? Are they selecting “volunteers,” to involuntarily participate?

posting on every regional page is the norm for most pilots attempting to get hired at any regional. They are looking for info most of the time. As did I.

Do you think by page 10 of this thread that any reader isn’t aware that you think that the company is over staffed? Holy Cow man! Give it a break. You seem to have a very negative view of things in general. Perhaps you should work on that if you want to move on from Mesa. It is hard to hide a negative attitude in an interview.

Do not confuse realism with negativity. I like Mesa. Of all the regionals I think they are the second best positioned for long term success. I like working here and the people I work with are phenomenal. My responses about staffing are in response to the unrealistic expectations of near term hiring and erroneous understanding of the dual nature of our airline which is really three airlines each with separate outlooks and challenges but with a single pool of pilots in a single pilot group. I know people want to come here and they are eager to get going. It’s just a ways off. Things could change for the better quickly and I hope I am incorrect about training starting.
