Hey, I apologize for needing someone to spoon feed me the info, but i did try and figure this out. I think the easiest way for me to do this is just say what I think i know, and hopefully you all can correct me as i go

• You guys are flying 737s for DHL,
• 2 now and 1 more coming in May.
• The operation doesnt have mesa pilots flying the airplanes as a bidding action from the seniority list, it's got some people hand picked (wrong term but you get my meaning) flying them.
• when you get 10 737s Mesa guys can bid over
• The payscale is some sort of salary position and someday you'll get rates or they'll be arbitrated.
• The operation is covered in your ALPA contract but basically the 737 operation is a carve out to let the company try cargo and see if you all can jump in when it gets figured out.

I know i got some things wrong, I'm just trying to learn.

The amount of 737s is correct. But everything else is basically wrong, there is bidding over to the 737 it's all the same seniority list, the first check airman who went over last year were picked but then there have been around 2 bids for all the other pilots to swap over. The rates are actual rates and I'm sure they've been posted somewhere in this forum. What happens at a certain amount of aircraft flying is the monthly guarantee goes up. But it is mesa pilots, anyone on the Mesa seniority list can bid to it (although it obviously went pretty senior), and they can bid back but I'm pretty sure there's a seat lock once you switch over like when switching seats or to any other airframe.

you really need to strongly consider where you get your information from. Your first two bullet points are correct. And literally every single one of the rest is false.

Ok, so firstly thank you. It already makes a lot more sense, the Mesa (ex mesa) guy clearly was talking too fast or i couldn't retain what he said.

So same Ops Specs, same contract, same company (no alter ego), and maybe someday 100 737s shucking cargo all over for DHL?

the rumored goal and it’s not really much of a rumor anymore as it’s clear. JO wants heavy metal. Probably 76’s. 737’s are just so Mesa can prove they can handle the cargo ops.

Yes, Mesa can no longer create an alter ego. All flying done for the company is done by pilots on the seniority list.

Industry low however a majority of the pilot group would be in an uproar. Some of the super seniors don’t care as long as it pays a lot more then they make now. They’re so acclimated to the crap wages of the past. You won’t see me flying it here you can put money on that.

I may not be around long enough to see it but I would take that bet.
