I'm in the up coming July 26 class. We just got our hotel assignments. We were given a hotel that doesn't even have a microwave in the room. Is this normal? I thought we were supposed to get rooms with kitchens since we were going to be in training for a few months. Is there any way to get moved to a room with a kitchen? I can't afford to eat out every night.

Nope, I was told we can expect to be here for up to 3 months. A instructor got covid and took out a few other instructors with it so now they have a back log of as much as month on some of our training. Being without a car for 3 months is going to be a challenge. I wonder if the shuttle will take us to a nearby restaurant. If breakfast is $15 I am afraid to see what a dinner costs. Doesn't seem like there is an option to store food in your room for more than a few days.

But no, it’s not normal to have a kitchen in your room. Hotels usually have microwaves available, and get used to microwave meals or sandwiches if you don’t want to/ can’t eat out.

Breakfast in the morning is free so make it a point to get ready early to give yourself enough time to grab it.
shuttle service should be provided. If you cozy up to the hotel staff they’ll usually bend the rules to help you if you have to go somewhere
like someone else said y’all should pitch in for a grill if your hotel doesn’t have one. That’s what my class did.
