I will be in the same class as well. I have to agree I definitely thought we would have had the ability to be able to at least do some sort of cooking in our room. Maybe it will only be a short term hotel until they can get us into something more long term.

Being without a car for 3 months is going to be a challenge. I wonder if the shuttle will take us to a nearby restaurant. If breakfast is $15 I am afraid to see what a dinner costs. Doesn't seem like there is an option to store food in your room for more than a few days.

But no, it’s not normal to have a kitchen in your room. Hotels usually have microwaves available, and get used to microwave meals or sandwiches if you don’t want to/ can’t eat out.

Breakfast in the morning is free so make it a point to get ready early to give yourself enough time to grab it.
shuttle service should be provided. If you cozy up to the hotel staff they’ll usually bend the rules to help you if you have to go somewhere
like someone else said y’all should pitch in for a grill if your hotel doesn’t have one. That’s what my class did.
