Places like Mesa have created a bottom feeder mentality so they realize no matter how much they raise pay, people will leave. They’ve probably created a pilot group that has skeletons in the closet and can’t leave to other airlines, like someone on this thread actually admitted, and for the rest they promise big RJs and lots of flying, what low timers want right now. It would be interesting if they vote this in because the rates look horrible, a 175/CRJ900 CA should be starting least 100k during these times. They’d probably want to keep their FOs from jumping ship after 4 months too.

I don’t have skeletons. I can go. But WHERE do I want to start over at the bottom of a list with the time I have left? Money isn’t everything. It’s something. QOL. Schedule etc. I’ve done my reserve time. No desire to commute to reserve. I could do the near direct entry ca an envoy easy enough. But I don’t want to. If I’m going to start at the bottom it won’t be a lateral move.

More and more pilots I talk to hear are coming to there senses and voting yes. Pangolin said it best when he says that a no vote will take years to make it back to the amoun t of money we would have gotten by just voting yes. It’s just not worth a no vote to come back for a $2 raise a year from now. The money offered is outstanding considering what our previous contracts given were. And we are not a bottom feeder. We have some of the most absolute professionals here at MESA

Well you all aren’t thinking about this logically. If commuterair is getting our 175s already then we need to accept what was given to us and not wreck this company further by trying to be greedy. If United owns almost all of our aircrafts then we need to tip toe the line carefully. And after thinking of it logically you will realize that the pay improvement is actually good. We are making more money to do the same job. I’m not sure why you think that is not good enough. Thankfully as I said before most pilots I talk to here are voting YES. MESA fortunately hires pilots who just love to fly and for whatever reason can’t go to another airline. Be considerate as we are all family here. The pay is good!
You haven’t talked to most pilots. We don’t need to
tip-toe. If the contract is voted down the company will need to come back to the table rather quickly. The pay is good if this contract was based in 2019, 2022 not so much.
