Apple Pencil with Jeppesen App
Does the Jeppesen Ipad app that Mesa subscribes to allow you to use Apple Pencil to take notes on a scratchpad or map - similar to Foreflight? I'd check on my own but it seems like you need a subscription to do anything in the Jepp app.
Thanks |

use the told card for taxi instructions, and for all other notes, the crj has a clipboard on the yoke. Take one of those hotel notepads and hotel pen, and do it that way.
Did he/she ask about taxi instructions about your opinion on note taking practices? No. He/she asked if a apple pencil worked in the media jepp app. |

Well Francis, since the question had already been answered he was adding his operational techniques. Most pilots new to the type would probably like to hear that. Doesn’t do anyone any good to write taxi instructions on something both pilots cannot see easily.

Thanks for all the replies. Sounds like the consensus is that Apple Pencil for taxi routes and other notes / directions while flying is fairly unnecessary....

I bought one. I’m going to experiment with it.
Our releases are digital so I use it for all sorts of highlighting/annotations/notes and it works great for that. Not sure what legal reason though prevents us from marking up the jepp enroute map however. That’s one place I’d like to mark information, especially for longer flights. Anyone know a way how that I’m missing? |
