Mesa News?

If you find the threads titled "Mesa Updates" and "Mesa Recall Numbers" You will find the information you seek. As far as recalls go, they are all postponed until further notice. In my opinion Mesa is in dire straights and will be an Airways only regional. The senior people will hold their positions and the chances of a furlough recall appear to be slim.

Met with some Union Leaders a couple weeks ago, they all suggested that I forget recall and go elsewhere. So that is what I am now in the process of doing. I was waiting/hoping/praying I'd get recalled so I could have a chance in PHX, but I think the Union Reps are right on this one.

Update
"Attrition for May is at 10. The highest in 3 months. The staffing plan is being reviewed to reflect the small spike. I would anticipate the next recall being moved from late summer to June or July. Standby for additional."

Mesa now has 5-6 year active FO's making lateral moves to other regionals that they could have gone to many years ago. Furloughed pilots waiting for the recall need to be aware of this. If a spot opens up for you it's in part because an active pilot took a regional job that you as a furloughed pilot are eligible for.

There will be some news soon. Those that have paid attention to the finacial market news might have read what will be happening in less than 24 hours. Not saying that will help with upward movement, but Mesa news none the less.
