Did get a call exwaterski?

I was among the initial batch of direct offers. I'm just here trying to figure it all out. :)

Ya maybe I should look at expressjet, eagle, horizon or skywest. Somewhere between 7 and 12 years to upgrade at a minimum? I think I'm all set on taking career advice from you.

30 ejets as announced with an option for another 20 more. 50 total.

Was in PHX last week and this is what they're saying in the training dept and a senior (prior CP) PHX CA also confirmed separately.

Also they stated they plan on hiring 600 next year.

Now more importantly.... has anyone seen an extra IPAD mount? I left it in a 900 Sunday. Errrrrrr lol

Any word if they are going to let the CRJ captains jump the fence to the EMB?

If you cared to do any research, you'd see why there are 7 year upgrades at some of those places and also why that is about to change for the better shortly.

But I guess you're too much of an eager beaver to do any of that silly stuff.

Instead of calling people beavers why don't you just educate us on what you're talking about?

Let me guess, economy was bad, age 65, 9/11, gas prices caused stagnation now all that's gone. Guess what, the airlines adding flying are the ones that will make captains first while eagle, endeavor, and express jet will be at least twice as long.

Oh wow that PIC time is sooooooo cool. However, we've had numerous FOs hired by mainline despite their lack of PIC. Let me guess, you have busted checkrides, maybe a DUI, no formal education ect... Which is why you're narrowing down your choices.

Food for thought, getting to mainline is getting harder an harder as regionals vote in concessions to fly larger aircraft. United is parking 757s, American is ordering 175s and more 900s, Delta is looking for carriers that fly 175s. Why??? Because we're cheap labor!!! You'll fly the same routes compared to mainline for 1/4 of the cost!! wake up, do some research. Retirements will spur hiring but hell, at this rate mainline can furlough their guys have them rehired and PSA or Mesa and staff those RJs that are flying ALL domestic flights. All while mainline focuses it's fleet on International flying. Get a clue

Upgrades will be much shorter at all the regionals until some other setback occurs. Mesa is the darling now, two years ago it was Skywest, two years before that it was Republic. It is a constant changing business. Best idea is to find where you want to be in the long run if things change.

Slats hit the nail right on the head. Regional flying now makes up more than 50 percent of mainline flying. Mainline would love to give their pilots a nice fat raise to give more domestic flying to the Regionals. And if regional pilots stand up for a better contract or are against concessions, goodbye flying. I don't blame you folks for signing up for these regionals, I did.
