GoJet was created because AA wouldn't allow their regional affiliates other than Eagle to fly larger than 50 seat RJs for anyone else and TSH had recently won a bid award for CRJ-700 flying. Granted, they wanted the pilot group to fly them for unacceptable rates. When it came up to a vote whether to allow TSA/GJ to be on one seniority list (like RAH), our pilot group voted it down since many junior pilots went over to start GoJet and would get super seniority once the lists were officially merged. That was combined with it undercutting the ongoing negotiations at TSA.
But, the effort backfired. The TSA pilot group still got significant gains in spite of the attempt to whipsaw. The only thing that continues to hurt pilot group was not getting the 76-seater on property. I don't foresee that being too big of an issue because, in my opinion, TSH will have to start consolidating certificates as the pilot shortage accelerates. If 2 of your 3 certificates are having a hard time recruiting pilots, you allow unprofitable contracts to expire and merge airlines. The TSA/Compass contracts are very similar. From what I've heard from GJ, they are negotiating up to ours on top of offering 300% premium pick-ups. From what I've heard from our union, there are more soft pay things (i.e. min day) coming with PBS. GoJet hasn't caused current day TSA any harm.

Just wondering in what aspects your contract is "behind" other regionals (duty rigs, guarantee, days off etc)
Are there any rumors as to when you will be voting on a new TA? Any pay raises and improvements in the forseeable future?
What's the general length of time new hires are on rsv/average upgrade time in either CRJ or EJet?
-thanks!
