Has Mesa mgmt relseased the details of the proposal? If not? Why? It's to protect what pilots that still believe we have a chance of a new contract. This mgmt has kept dangling carrots about fast upgrades and a potential new contract with competitive wages. Although at some point in the beginning there were fast upgrades but now that ship has sailed. Stop believing that we will ever get a a competitive compensation proposal. It's just not reality.

So adding up open time in DFW (vast majority on the FO side), there are about 2,594 hours unassigned, or roughly 34 lines. 6 FO's on reserve and 22 CA's on reserve equal about 28 lines covered, leaving 6 lines uncovered for the month. IOE might help, but I think this is the start.

You're apparently still instructing, so...
Hey guys, I'm new here and just trying to get some info about Mesa. I'm currently a senior at a 141 college and have most of my flight time already so I'm starting to look at regionals. We recently had some recruiters from Mesa at one of our job fairs and I spoke with them about the company. They we're trying to sell me pretty hard on going to Mesa, they said I wouldn't have to sit reserve, I'd upgrade as soon as I got my 1000 hours of 121 flight time and that they're about to get a new "industry leading" contract. One of the recruiters, a larger guy, also hinted at the possibility of a merger with another CRJ carrier based in Chicago and Denver. I'm just wondering if there's any truth to any of this. I want to trust him, he seems very knowledgable about the 121 world. I've got some decisions to make so I want to be well informed. Thanks!
