Im astounded they still get people, and at this rate idk. I'm starting to think JO is really going to take this place down. FAs authorizing a strike and pilots in mediation its not good at all over here.

I heard 5 new hires for February. Mesa has been losing about 30 per month since November. They have a huge net loss of pilots! The place is imploding. Unless they sign a contract with the pilots and flight attendants, they will likely go belly up, again! They're cancelling over 20 flights per week and it's getting worse.

I'm just an outsider to both outfits but the stories I hear about busting a checkride at Gojet just because somebody wants you out is scary. I get the impression Mesa is just too desperate to try games like that or if it does happen you don't hear about it.

My impression would be upgrades being busted in order to keep FO's. a few are back in the right seat. Not impossible but a little more difficult to leave with a bust. 0 upgrades in dfw next month

My experience at Mesa was that they didn't pull bullcrap in training. They were fair, honest, and cared for the people they trained. Since I left, I heard they have a new director of training. Perhaps they increased the difficulty of the captain upgrade? When I was there, if you weren't ready, you didn't upgrade. Needless to say, Mesa was a couple magnitudes easier than my current employer.
