Mesa 3.0

Spot on!!!!!! Everyone should be mass emailing the company to return to the paper Jepps and when the company says it is no longer available then call crew quals and inform them you are not able to fly because you needed your money back and sold your ipad and now need jepps. Remember the Ipad is your Ipad and the company did not purchase it for you. They also did not require it. They gave you the option of Jepps or use your own Ipad. Don't let that become a new standard. Even if you don't want to lose pay, do it then after they deny you jepps at least file a grievance and use the email saying jepps are not avail and have the union file a GROUP GRIEVANCE IMMEDIATLY! DON'T LET IT BECOME STATUS QUO! Let the company scream like a little girl! Serves them right for not buying the pilots ipads...other then the recent new hires.

Before you had the option. Now you do not. Does not mean they should let it continue this way! Stop it now! This is the best leverage they have now that they can't get paper Jepps! Now Mesa has to buy Ipads or give them money to do so!

Last month somebody posted a link to where you could see the cancelled flights for Mesa in March. I think it might have been on FlightAware. I'm curious to see the totals for April so far. I've been seeing at least 3 or 4 cancelled per day up on the board it seems, and that's just for DFW. I've heard that IAH has been having a lot too.
I seem to remember the March total being somewhere around 31. Based on what I've been seeing and hearing, I would expect that number to be well over 100 for April. If anybody knows how to get that info could you please post a link?

The union needs to do more to introduce the new hires to ALPA and help them understand how the group works. When I started, they just showed up in class, had us sign up and took us out to dinner. From there it was all word of mouth. There should be a 'union day' where pilots reaching the end of their probationary period get some type of class or presentation on ALPA. Have someone from national come in to speak and include lunch.

Here's the data I have recorded for each day in April .. after watching this informally, I started to write it down on the first of this month. Take these numbers with a grain of salt, though .. some may be maintenance cancels, and I simply look at Flightaware several times during the day and keep the highest number of flights. I don't necessarily have any better insight as to what our 'normal cancel rate' may be.

Where is ftweb? I checked ftweb.com and ftweb.net, and neither seems to be what you're talking about.
