If you know so many hiring managers at various airlines, why are you still at Mesa?

Many of my fellow pilots are trying to make the leap. It is bogus to think that recruiters or hiring managers are overlooking Mesa pilots. Southwest, American, Delta, and United are going to hire the equivalent of today's entire regional pilot population over the next 3 or 4 years. That ignores growth at Spirit and Frontier. They don't really have the "ability" to overlook a regional.
If Mesa falls apart or our agreements cancelled, I will go back to doing what I was doing.
By the way, I voted "no". An FO shouldn't have to use food stamps to support a family. Pilots aren't paid enough. I wish JO would retire and someone else would start steering the company.

I didn't say you should now recruiters. What I said was a suggestion that you had bought and ran with what regional recruiters told you, as it mirrors their sales pitch. I'm actually fairly well connected, but that's besides the point. I'm not trolling, I'm stating a fact. A fact that I wish weren't true, because I flew with a lot of good people at Mesa. Most of my friends that were able to make a big step up had to make a medium step up, and the call came fairly quickly short after.

Mesa or Skywest, if you had a choice?
