This career is a lottery. I've stopped comparing my career movement to others'. Anyone who thinks they "achieved" a legacy job through hard work is delusional. The job simply happened, just as it didn't for many equally qualified others.
I agree with you man... I've met equally qualified pilots that get called immediately after posting their CV making it look like the easiest task in the world nowadays and people who've been waiting for years and not a single call... I also think is a lottery, but just in case a clean record and extracurricular activities in your resume wouldn't hurt.

Reversal of trends for IAH CA’s and FO’s.

The latest Ejet seniority list shows 280 FO’s, down from 292 last month. It also shows 249 CA’s, up from 236 last month. (I know, I know, some of these guys aren’t on the line). After 6 months of FO growth outpacing a loss of FO’s (either due to attrition or upgrades), the FO base of pilots is shrinking. Also, after an eternity of Ejet CA break even or losses, we finally may have some relief coming their way.

November hiring was extremely weak on the Ejet - only 9 new hires. I suspect our last place position in FO pay is drying up our pool of candidates.

Pretty recently, last few days. That’s also less than it had been. Going back down again.

For some reason, the November new hires aren’t there. I added them to my counts from the standing bid.

The bottle next from the July/August new hires should start moving forward.

[QUOTE=MrWizard;2479945]The letter from Billy C this morning is mind-blowing - and not necessarily in the subject matter.

Nothing surprises me here anymore, particularly when one considers the management staff's lack of professionalism. Somebody should ask the tough questions he asks of us. OK, I'll start here: what's an 'epilate'? :-)

Kind of Ironic don't you think considering the lack of professionalism from some of the people on that list and upper management.

Default Commute question

Does anybody commute SAT to IAH? That would be my commute. I know there are several flights a day but somewhere else on this forum said it was next to impossible to jump seat on that trip because so many people are doing it. Anyone experience this? Also is there priority on Mesa flights? Thanks for any info.

Nope. Houston gained 1 Captain from December PBS to January PBS and lost 3 FO's. The kicker, and this should make life oh so much fun. Houston gained 1400 hours of block from December to January.
