Not when I posted my original comment. ATL was still being advertised as opening in June when I made my comment.
Instead of being honest up front whenever they decided they weren’t opening ATL, they waited until the 6/1 Standing Bid was out and it was obvious ATL wasn’t opening.

I doubt United is about to “can” Mesa if they just signed the CPP. But, Mesa was opening a base in ATL before yesterday and now it isn’t. Strange industry full of liers.

Is this the future route to the majors?
“The American Airlines Cadet Academy will train prospective pilots for 18 months at the carrier's partner flight schools, removing financial roadblocks to encourage more to become professional aviators. Once training is complete, students can interview for a position with the airline's regional carriers Envoy, Piedmont and PSA.”

Upgrades awards are out:
Ejet: 21 months to award; 23 months to training (down 4 months from last month)
CRJ: 4 months to award (IAD); 6 months to training - pretty close to street Captains
Our Ejet award is about the same as Compass - still about 6 months faster than SkyWest. Our CRJ award is just a tad behind the industry since the industry has moved to street captains on the CRJ.
