Class 1 / DCS episode

Greetings all - quick search did not lead to any concrete information, so:

Can anyone tell me the extent to which a single episode of DCS (mild case, single chamber ride, no complications) impacts the ability to attain a Class 1 medical, if at all?

MANY thanks in advance!

Have you called DAN (Divers Alert Network)? I think they would have a solid answer, and I'd be willing to bet one of their doctors is a AME

Probably not at all, if there are no lingering side affects. Are you a diver or pilot?

Pilot - I apologize in advance for not providing much detail.

That's good. Divers get far more delta-P, so are much more likely to feel it long term.

Did it require admission to the hospital, or occur within the last three years? If the answer to both of those is NO, don't worry about it.

If either is yes, FAA 8500 block 18 and/or 19 might apply.
