3 yrs to go: is it still gonna be HOT?
Just starting my last tour flying Navy Hercs before I get out, hoping to get to a major after this 3yr tour but there's lots of action right now it seems with folks getting hired and so I'm wondering if it's still going to be hot? It's hard to say, are the airlines ahead of the curve and hiring enough in anticipation of forced retirement, or are they behind? It depends on the company I'm sure. Either way, I can't get out of this contract.

Mandatory Retirement Numbers
Tallflyer posted some great charts. Page 10.
Based on those numbers here's the following retirement data (+/-) -
2017 - 1700
2020 - 2400
2020 - 2800
Peak is about 2024 with 3000 (+/-)
Charts start in 2013 so the data is old. But it shows the trend.
