hey guys I have been filling out my packet i got from the recuuiter and i am stuck on the locations they are offering. I'd like to fly obviously and I don't mind bouncing around plane to helicopter at that location any inside information would be great.
This is what I'm having to chose from Aguadilla, Puerto Rico El Paso, Texas Laredo, Texas San Angelo, Texas Sierra Vista, Arizona Yuma, Arizona I know Puerto Rico has more flying but I have other obligations and a wife and child. Thanks |
Quick question for the AIA's on here, what qualifies you for the over 40 veteran waiver? Is it a set amount of deployment days? Would someone qualify after 20 years in a reserve component with no title 10 deployments? Doe s AGR time count? Thank you.

It's a formula that's based on years of service, age, etc. It comes out different for everyone. The actual algorithm is a closely guarded secret. I believe only title 10 time count, not sure about AGR. I can ask. |

As far as anyone I can find knows, only T10 time counts
Sorry, it's dumb... |
I did drug interdictions in an F-16 years ago. Can't remember what the Operation was called, but we interdicted "fast movers" (fast in all worlds except the fighter world) based out of Curacao. The hills were full of people with cell phones making calls as we were getting scrambled for a mission. If you can get that gig I recommend it!!

Updated Timeline
I believe I am in one of the last groups going through the AIA app process. Is anyone on here just waiting for the three part assessment? What timeline have they told you?
For those who are waiting for EOD/FLETC, what timeline are they telling you? I can wait until Spring 2022 to EOD, but if it’s going to be longer, I need to start looking other places! I’m hoping the airlines start hiring and that helps clear out the wait. Thanks in advance for sharing! |

Absolutely no idea. I’m still waiting on the flight assessment. It’s been radio silence for like 6 months.
What I don’t know is how many assessments are ahead of me and how many can they conduct each month. |
Got my medical/physical schedule notice on Friday so after that I’m just waiting on the assessment.
