Mil helo time on a major application

Does anyone know how the majors evaluate military helo time on a resume?

Do they count the turbine PIC? Or do they just count it as total time?

Thank you for the information in advance.

It counts towards TT, but they will not count your turbine helo PIC towards anything that matters. Using UPS for example, if they want 1000 ME PIC turbine, your helo time won't count towards that total.

With 6800TT, I've been told by a Major Airline that I only have 3700 because that's what my FW time is.

The only one that really counts it is JetBlue.

JetBlue and Hawaiian are the only ones that count it in a way other than accounting for what you did for XX years.

I'm a 3000 hour pilot without helo time. 6000 with.

Once you meet mins, and are ballpark FW competitive, you'll get called ahead of civilians because you have military wings. So not all in vain by any means. Lots of mil guys making touch-and-goes at skywest. Typically well under two years, more likely one year at a regional.

Southwest doesn't count Helo time at all

Thanks guys, looks like I’ll be at the regionals longer than I thought. Got hired on with only 250hrs FW time...

Just, "check wheels down" and you'll be okay! Congrats!

I consider it a good day when I don’t get the shaker on landing. :D
