Default XH558 - Last flight of a Vulcan Bomber

I just came across a show on NetFlicks this evening called

Guy Martin: The Last Flight of the Vulcan Bomber

https://www.imdb.com/title/tt5256700/

I knew very little of the history or background of this British bomber except for its use in a long range bombing raid conducted during the 'Falkland's War'.

What a beautiful flying machine! Such sweet aerodynamic lines and a ramp presence unmatched. I would love to have seen a formation of between a Vulcan and a Hawker Hunter!

In any case - just thought I'd share that there is this wonderfully produced documentary on a staple of the Cold War era.

I had one fly over on a low low level while I was hiking in Wales in the 70’s. Absolutely beautiful aircraft.

On Google Earth, you can still see some of the bomb craters in a row next to the airfield in Port Stanley.

Something similar. Last flights of the operational (or so they thought) Vulcan in the early 80s.

Just watched this the other day. My kids even enjoyed it. Such an amazing aircraft.
