It's a 50 year old tanker, the basics of the fuel system such as locations of the tanks, AR refueling pumps, and override pumps is not classified information. I ended up buying a flight manual off the internet of the 135A and had more information then I need.

Good luck on your paper but you have to understand that those affiliated with the military especially on these forums are rightfully risk averse on giving out anything remotely system related that hasn't been cleared all the way up the chain. You never know what will get the leadership butt hurt to make them come down on you. Just no upside and plenty of potential downside. Yes it's definitely a very old legacy system and I'm sure many of our adversaries probably have the same manual and more. While its not necessarily the case here, just because something like this is available online doesn't mean it was properly released in the first place.

Truth! And things don’t have to be classified to be deemed FOUO or not releasable to the public. Your research paper, if published, certainly doesn’t help American interests (but maybe that’s the point?). All the little details add up to a bigger picture and potentially an exploit for our adversaries, which the dbag that posted eBay links should have known.

There are a few big tanks, some fuel lines, some pumps, some check valves, etc.... just like any other large transport-type aircraft fuel system. Things haven't changed much by way of fuel systems in the last 50 years. I've been flying the jet for almost two decades and I don't think I could write more than a page worth of "research" myself.

Curious as to why you would waste time writing a paper on a 60 year old airplane. A four engine air craft has an immensely more complicated fuel system then a two engine air craft. When the 707 came out the engines were not as advanced as they are to day and it took 4 engines to fly the plane. It was tremendously advanced for 1958 when it hit the market but since then much has changed.
