That’s a pretty strong story lol.
Single engine jet time huh...
I remember back in the day pay was $2000/day to fly a Mig in Liberia.
There was also an online video floating around of a mixed nationality mercenary crew on an Mi-24 Hind.

Old saying:

There are Fighter Pilots....and pilots who fly fighters.

He is the latter.

Kinda interesting on the Airmen Certificate Registry it shows he received his CFI on April 11 2019. Thats 11 weeks ago and he was detained for 6 weeks. So he went from CFI to Mirage F1 pilot in 5 weeks.

And still more combat cred than the entire CENTCOM cohort licking ice cream in Doha and bloating up the defense budget for OPR bullets.

Like my buddy says: "Make them tell you NO!" Hell of a way to pad that Guard UPT board. Mirage F1 time baby.

I can actually envision a non-taciar pilot being trained very expediently to drop bombs or maybe do gun CAS, assuming air superiority. Don't really need to push the envelop for that. But some prior jet time would have been a real good idea

Guess they need air support right now more than needed to use the jet again in the future...
