Default New hire coming soon...

Now I’m as safety conscious as the next guy but...damn, that’s not the way you want to see a good guy’s career end.

Darn. Somebody could have let that one slide. Unless he went supersonic over mira mesa.

But he'll probably be a good dude to have a beer with on an overnight when he gets on line.

I don't know how low or fast he was going, but could that come up in an interview? If so, could it be a problem? I hope not.

It would almost have to come up, not going to be able to hide getting removed from command. I think he'll still get a legacy job.

I believe he was in the back of the jet (WSO). Probably not headed to the airlines any time soon.

Seriously? I’ve been lower as a back seater on a RTB celebratory flyby returning from Red Flag.

In number three of a four ship.

Obviously I didn’t get out any too soon...

Sadly, this isn't 1986 anymore, and what we all did back then doesn't float anymore.

If you're not in waivered airspace, and you break the FARs... and fly faster and lower than what you briefed your leadership, you doing to get whacked.

And doing it right in front of everyone at the squadron's sundown? Really? We've seen plenty of crews crushed because of stuff like this on high-vis flybys over the past 10 years.

Do it if you want... but expect to pay a hefty price.
