Bottom Line at the Bottom (where it belongs).

1. Don't lie to the FAA, people (veterans) have gone to jail for that (recently).
1.a. Don't lie to your Doctor either. If you have an issue, get it treated, even if it is disqualifying. These conditions don't get better with age.
2. Anything mental health/PTSD/TBI related is going to be a big problem.
2.a. If you have mental health/PTSD/TBI related issues get help, or it will be an even bigger problem.

My advice would be to go to the VA as little as possible -- I am not, however, trying to say that you should not seek medical attention when you need it.

Just as a reminder, Janet Nepolitano -- Obama's DHS secretary -- said the biggest threat to national security was service members returning from Iraq and Afghanistan. The VP of that same regime is in power today and forcing you to wear a mask when you enter a VA facility regardless of the fact that they do not prevent the spread of covid. The VA serves at the will of a government that views you as the enemy. They are there to collect information on you that can be used against you, medicate you, make you dependent on government money, and to tax and spend to increase inflation.

This is terrible advice. Just don't lie to the FAA. You can get some world class healthcare at VA facilities or paid for by VA healthcare. Way to let politics rule your life. Sheesh.

Default PACT

Does anyone here have Sinusitis as a VA disability rating? It is now considered presumptive due to the PACT act. I’m just concerned if having sinus issues affect holding a First Class? I searched for it and all I saw was a page talking about medication. But what if you are not medicated?

Blocked sinuses obviously could be a problem. Not sure about if it's just irritated.

I have no issues flying. Sinuses are just irritated. But not blocked

I would guess that would be OK, if it's not bad enough to be a distraction. But I don't know for sure. AMAS or a similar consultant could probably answer that.

I was asked which gender was I assigned at birth recently at the VA. Politely told the healthcare “professional” to eff off. Looks like the VA is letting politics rule my life. That’s some world class healthcare treatment.

From my experience with the VA, I have only received very great care. I think this varies greatly depending on the clinic and facility. The clinic where my primary care is located has a very high rating. Whereas I've seen on the VA website that other clinics and hospitals in my region have much lower ratings. I've never had my doctor or any nurses ever ask me anything even remotely political or inappropriate.
