Callsign Mainerd 14 ....???

Last night around 2200-2300 Central Time I heard multiple ATC facilities calling out for a Mainerd 14 ... pronounced like the state of Maine and Nerd connected. It went on for the duration of our entire flight. They also had multiple commercial carriers call out to them.

Any idea who they were or what was going on?

Probably Mainer, i.e. someone from the state of Maine. Call sign for Elite Airways, based in PWM

Thank you ... never heard of them and I figured from the numbering it was a military formation. Thank you.
