This misses the point that Co-Pilot is a training position. I certainly hope that we never reach the point that a 350 hour guy fresh out of training will be put into the left seat.

The sad thing is the increased training requirements, R&D to enable single pilot, and the increased MX bill will probably exceed the cost of just leaving the copilot in the seat.

Great point. But think of all the new contracts Mc-Boeing will get!

That's probably true.

Eventually somebody is going to lean way too far forward into automation/AI and a lose a war big time. Hopefully not us.
